Within Eviden, BDS R&D Spain is a dedicated research division working on innovation in BDS products. With a team of 140 professionals in seven locations across Spain, they are involved in over 80 co-funded R&D projects and have five ongoing product developments, including Computer Vision, Identity Management, Edge Orchestration, Machine Learning, and Decarbonization. One of their key focuses is on Data Intelligence, enabling data-driven transformation in sectors like energy, manufacturing, and transportation through decentralized cloud and data infrastructures, bolstering European competitiveness through trustworthy data sharing and aggregation powered by AI.
Our Role in KNOWING
Eviden team brings its long experience in INSPIRE-related projects as well as its know-how in implementing Climate Services started in EU H2020 CLARITY project (https://clarity-h2020.eu/) and to be further developed in KNOWING.
Working in collaboration with various partners, Eviden is responsible for the Generalization of Climate Mitigation Pathways. This involves applying the Integrated Impact Modelling Framework (IIMF) from the Demonstrator phase to Follower cases. They facilitate the flow of information between different project tasks, ensuring the seamless integration of strategies formulated in previous tasks. Eviden also organizes hybrid Follower Events, engaging stakeholders and citizens from Follower Regions. These events serve to disseminate project insights, showcasing outputs such as the Climate Impact Knowledge Base and Knowledge Communication Tools.

KNOWING project also represents an excellent opportunity for Eviden to continue the development and integration of the data spaces technologies that enable the interoperable and FAIR access to valuable datasets in may interconnected sectors in order to support stakeholders and companies in their activities by facilitating the access to relevant datasets used in the decision-making for mitigating and adapting to the Climate Change.
